In loving memory of Kumu Allen Elia Alapaʻi (1958-2018)
Kumu Allen Elia Alapaʻi is a Lomilomi Master from the island of Kauaʻi, who has touched many people with his words and healing nature. His ohana (family) practice supports healing on a physical, emotional and mental level called Hoʻoponopono Lomilomi. He has shared his healing knowledge in lectures, workshops and trainings all over the world. This family tradition is continued today by his wife Kumu Kahililaulani Alapaʻi and Children.
Ho’oponopono process is more than the four (4) mantra/prayers that is widely known. It is an actual process with the intention of going deep within to the root of the problem, trauma, anger, fear, and severing that connection with forgiveness.
To know your triggers, your reactions, your patterns is a big step to understanding yourself. Ho’oponopono is able to Love away the barriers and walls that we put up in order to protect ourself from looking deep and feeling those strong emotion of fear, sadness, anger, jealousy, grief etc. With Ho’oponopono we can huli (flip) and draw strength from our traumas and difficult experiences. We can forgive those who have hurt us and start a new loving connection, based on mutual respect and honor.
Lomi lomi means to soften, in our family. We believe when your body and muscles are soften blood and oxygen can flow freely insuring the circulation of your life force. Lomilomi helps us to soften the body and release the trauma or negative energies that the body has absorbed. Many people mistaken lomilomi as a simple massage. To us practitioners its a spiritual practice with the intention to heal on the physical and spiritual level. Lomilomi includes prayers and energetic cleansing, along with medium to deep tissue techniques, trigger points, and utilizing the meridians of the body. Our ohanaʻs lomilomi is traditionally four (4) hours long for the full body experience.
Talking about our children and offering some suggestions and tools to help them navigate and process this interesting time we are in.
Aloha can heal the world, is the foundation of our Ohanaʻs healing work. We believe in treating the whole person, not just their symptoms. We take a holistic approach to healing, focusing on the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being of our clients.
